This week I ate some of the best food ever! It was venezuelan called arepa or something like that! We have despedidas for Hermana Santos where we got to visit people from her old wards and one of them cooked us lunch and it was so good!! This week we also had service where we did lawn work and the Hermana played music so it was way fun! Then we had a Noche de Hogar with a family from Brazil so of course my companions (both are from, Brazil) loved every second. Everyone was speaking portuguese.. everyone.... but it was really fun! It is actually more similar to Spanish than i thought; I could understand a lot! But it was really good because this family is inactive, but  the granddaughter/daughter is on a mission right now so they are trying to come back. It´s actually way cool because she was in the CCM in Mexico at the same time as me and I met her! They were so happy to meet someone who met their daughter hahaha It was so interesting to see how these people who haven´t come to church in years never have lost their testimony, but they know they don´t feel  the same joy they did when they came to church every week. Something so small as 3 hours every week or something as small as a piece of bread and sip of water can be SOO IMPACTFUL. We need it every week.

MIRACLE!! We had a family that we were teaching carlos and Leslie and their daughters Veronica and Marcela like a month ago and then one day we fund out they moved and were having problems with their marriage so they were separating. We were so devasted because they were seriously so awesome and their girls came to church every week even if the parents couldn´t make it! Anyway this week we found out they are back!!! They still might move but it is indefinate and they are for sure going to be here for a least a month! We now have the opportunity to teach them again!!! it´s very exciting :)

earthquake!!!!

FELT AN EARTHQUAKE FOR THE FIRST TIME THIS WEEK! It´s really not that big of a deal here in Chile because they happen frequently, but it was the first one i have ever felt! I woke up at 7:20 because I had to go to the bathroom and the second I got in there, the floor started grumbling and the towells were swaying back and forth! So ya basically my bladder has a sixth sense where it can sense when an earthquake is coming..

This week was a little fome because we found out that our family that we are teaching moved! I mean it explains why it was so hard to contact them, but we are pretty bummed. Then the next day we found out our other investigador Jordan who is Haitiano also moved away!! It´s sad that we can´t teach them but we are going to send references to the missionaries in their new area so hopefully they will continue to progress.

This week we found a new invetigador named John! We contacted once before and gave him a book of mormon and this week was the first time we could actually teach him. Turns out he loves to read and he is already in Alma so ya.. he is awesome!! he asked us so many questions in our lesson and wants to be baptized! He is waiting for his answer right now, but I am excited because I know he is going to recieve his answer!!! whoooo!

We are always hungry so we stop and buy bread and cheese and eat it on our way to appointments.

GENERAL CONFERENCE AM I RIGHT???!!!

Wow ya general conference was super super duper good! I hope everyone had a chance to watch at least a little part of it. Sustaining President Nelson as the new prophet of the church was one of the most powerful and reassuring moments ever that this church is true and everyone decision is made my divine inspiration from God. President Nelson was called of God and he was called to be the prophet at this time. Other exciting things about conference.. my BYU religious profesor was called as an area 70! whoop whoop good old Richard Hotszapfel (still don´t know how to spell it...) ANNND my mission was featured in conference! The Sister that talked about the butterflies talked about spanish classes for Haitians and then showed a photo.. The two missionaries that were in the photo wer my Siter training leaders!! My mission is famous! It´s proof that my mission is the best..

Conference really was just the best. We had an investigador named Micaela come to the Sunday session and then after we walked back and taught her. She is so awesome. She kept saying how much she felt different and peace and great and had never felt that before and oh my gosh ya she is so prepared. She is so sweet and is so excited to always learn more. She comitted to reading and attending and praying before we even invited her to hahaa.

This week we did some service where we made natural juice from grapes so we got to pick the grapes then smash them all up... It was more exciting than it sounds...

But ya this week was way good and we are getting closer and closer to baptisms for our investigadors!! If you didn´t get a chance to watch conference, do it!!
