Got bit by a creature...

This week was good! We had a service project this week where we crushed pop cans... literally hundreds and hundreds of pop cans so if you can imagine a bunch of missionaries jumping and running all over pop cans on the ground at 9 o clock in the morning hahaha it was a lot of fun though.

To explain the subject line, it is not as bad as you think hahaha the creature was a little boy, not an animal. Although to be honest i´m not entirely sure he was a little boy hahaha We have an awesome investigador family: Carlos, Leslie, their daughters Marcela and Victoria, and their son Matias who we are teaching. Matias is seriously crazy, he comes running up to me and bits my skirt, and since i thought it was going to rip i tried to save it so instead he bit my finger... I now have a lot of empathy for dentists.

Also definate highlight this week.. SOLEDAD GOT BAPTISED!! She is from my old sector in Los Nogales but we got to go and visit her for the baptism on Sunday. She is so sweet I love her!!

We are working mega hard and honestly it´s a miracle that I am not super sun burnt. This ward is so welcoming and loving, and all the food is good so i am pretty content right now! My fork and knife skills are seriously improving and I can speed walk like no ones business.. In other words, I am adapting to the missionry life in general.

This weekend is general conference! Seriously so excited!! This is such a special opportunity to recieve answers to questions and really guidance in general. The fact that we have a prophet who is called of God who recieves revelation directly from our Father in Heaven is seriously so special and it is something we can´t take for granted.

Brisas del maipo!!

This week was so busy! We are teaching so many people that I still don´t know all of our investigadors! It is so great though every single day I laugh so hard i cry multiple times. We have 5 baptismal dates and all of them are so awesome and prepared. We have a family from Columbia(the columbia accent is my favorite! it is so gorgeous) and the mom Carolina was pregnant around 30 weeks and lost the baby.. This was about a week ago so she is really emotional right now, but she is so strong! Every time we teach her she tells us how she is always trying to remember her love for God and how everything happens for a reason. Her husband and daughter are so supportive and great too. 

We also have Javier who is also from Columbia and is 30. He always asks a lot of questions and has come to church like 4 or 5 times. Our ward is literally the best with our investigadors! They are so helpful and are always willing to go on divisions with us or hold a family home evening in their house. We had lunch with the familia Parra yesterday and they are so cute always holding hands and making each other laugh AND they gave me a giant chocolate bar and a can of doctor pepper as my welcome gift so ya they are my favorite. Our other fechas are Valentina, the familia de Brixa and Michael who are all so awesome too!

General Conference is coming!!! I am super pumped because it is going to be so cool to see two new apostles! I encourage everyone to prepare with a specific question in mind. Pray about it, ponder about it, and listen carefully during conference!!!

Trios for Dayzzzz

Happy Changes!!!

Welcome to the third change for Hermana Bever where she will be in her third ward with her fourth ad fifth companions! That{s right folks three changes, three wards, and five companions hahaha This is my third trio so far in the mission!! I asked President why I am in a trio again and he told me that it takes two to keep track of me... I am trying to take that as a good thing hahaha

It is a lot a lot of fun though! My companions right now are Hermana Santos and Hermana Spinelli. They are both from Brazil! It is hard for me to figure out when they are speaking Spanish and I just don´t understand and when they are speaking Portugese hahah This is the final 6 weeks for Hermana Santos and Hermana Spinelli is finishing her training right now. She is younger (in the mission) than I am!

I honestly don´t know what President was thinking though because Hermana Murdock (one of my comps in the CCM) and her gringa companion live in the same house as us too! It is going to be a party every night!!! 5 people in our tiny little apartment is snug, but it is a whole lot of fun.

Despedidas in Los Nogales was sad but I am going back for the baptism of Hermana Soleded who is La Señora in one of these pictures!

I am loving the mission tons and learning a lot! We got to participate in a capilla abierta (a chapel open house bascailly) and even a simple and short message of divine truth can bring such a strong spirit and start the path toward conversion. Miracles are happening every day!!!!!! Thank you all so much for all your love and support!

Highlights of the week!

11 Semanas! We got to check up on our training and remind ourselves that this is hard but not impossible. I was actually in divisions this day with our hermana lideres and halfway through the lunch, they got a phone call that an hermana had been bitten by a dog so immediatly we left with President to check on her. It was a small bite, but this poor hermana is learning how to ride a bike right now in a biking sector and her and her companion don´t get along very well so a dog bite really just topped it off and she was in shoke. The "hospital" that she was in was one of the free public ones so let me just take a moment to thank the sanitary health centers and hospitals in the States.

Service projects también! We got to place tiles on the walls in the kitchen of a members house so ya i felt like i was in art class again and then we painted their wall outside their house. But ya by the time we left i was covered with cement type paste stuff and paint.

Miracle of the week. We had a baptismal date for an haitiano couple who had recieved a few lessons in Haiti, but this week when we went to visit them their cousin told us they moved to the south for work and won´t be returning... Luckily! Their cousin who we talked to is super sweet and receptive and we are now teaching her! And the best part is she speaks Spanish!! Everything happens for a reason. And this is something that i have learned and continue to learn on my mission. The hard part is learning to recognize it! However, once you learn to recognize it, you have the ability to see the world in a new perspective and it is a lot easier to be more optimistic and positive.
