BIENVENIDA HERMANA DOXEY!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!

This week has been a little bit of a roller coaster! We had changes so Hermana Teodório left la Blanca and Hermana Doxey came! We had changes yesterday so I can´t tell you TOO much about her but she is from Ogden (West Point) Utah and got to Chile two weeks ago! She served in Mexico for 6ish months, but due to safety issues the church took out the American Hermanas and sent them to other missions. But lucky for me!

This week was good! We found two new Haitian friends on Saturday, one of which came to church the next day! Their names are Jude and Salomon. We are also progressing with Everth. We fasted with him this weekend to help him gain his own testimony, but he said he ended up eating... But he is so close! 

It has been super hot so sunscreen is my best friend, but other than that everything is great!

I was studying about faith this week and something that I loved said that having faith means that you are sure that God loves you; that you have a testimony; that you KNOW he loves you. I love that because with that basis one can honestly and completely trust in God. So just remember, HE LOVES YOU!!

Short and Sweet - 11/14/18

Hello!

I don´t have a lot of time, but this week was great! We found a merry go round and a bridge and it was Ximena´s birthday, and my team won the soccer tournament, and Everth is a little stressed but still going strong trying to have faith especially during the holiday season without any family :( We were able to teach Andrea this week, and it was so awesome! She was super excited to listen and participate so we are super excited for her!

Chaptstick doesn't exist

Hello hello hello!

The only explanation that i have for the subject line of this email is that this fun fact just popped into my head the other day! No one here uses chapstick! Every time i use my chapstick someone asks me "what is that"... i don´t why i never realized it before this week, but there you go...

Other than this new insight, this week was good! Hector got baptized on Saturday so I got to go back to participate. He has been taught by so many missionaries as you can see in the picture below, but i am just so excited that he finally made it!!

Saturday we also were able to organize a little soccer at the church! As all of our events go, only men came, but it was still fun! A member in the ward here has his business where he makes athletic clothes for teams and such so he brought jerseys for us so we can play in style. AND the best part is that Everth came! And not only to soccer, but also the the Noche de Hogar (where only men came like i said) in the church! We are teaching him a lot and helping him prepare for his baptism! He is reading and always asking tons of questions which is a good thing! We are super excited for him!

We finally got the meet again with Roberto! He couldn´t come to church on Sunday, but he felt super bad haha nothing better than a little guilt to motivate the people right... No but honestly he is awesome and super ready to try and turn his life around.

Other than this this week was full of service! We did hard core yard work as a zone (photo), cut onions to help make empanadas (i cried so much!), taught English, and cleaned the chapel again.

I hope you all enjoy wonderful fall weather! Wish my luck in the Chilean sun that tries to kill me every day... Verano en Chile 2018 ugh...
