Hello hello
Happy Halloween! First highlight of the week and halloween
related is (DRUM ROLL PLEASE) Hermana Teodório and I won the costume contest
that we did for Pday today! Whoop whoop! We dressed up as boxers (see photo
below).
In other news, this week we found an awesome guy named
Roberto and his wife Rosa! Roberto lost his son 2 years ago to cancer, and is
recently retired so he found himself falling into depression. His wife told him
to look for a church or religion or something so he prayed to God to help him
find something, and met us a week later. We were able to teach him yesterday
and it was super awesome! The Lord really does prepare people. I will keep you
updated with the progress he makes :)
In other news, Everth is also doing great! Everything is
still a little different and new to him, but he is trying to be more active
with the activities in the church! He is going to come to English class
tomorrow and to church on Sunday!
In other news, we still didn´t have gas in the house this
week so finding ways to make food was interesting. I ran out of literally
everything but found that i had flour and sugar and my comp chocolate so we
decided to make brownies.. well my comp gave me the responsability to make
browines (bad idea) haha SO to justify my failure, 1. the recipe she gave me
was in freaking Portugues and 2. we could only use a toaster oven because we
didnt have gas for the real one. Even though you probably couldn´t call these
half burnt, half uncooked, double smounts of sugar, brownies, brownies... we
ate them.
I hope you all have wonderful weeks full of delicious
brownies, hot showers, and scrabbled eggs (all things that requiere gas which
we don´t have).
